highlights from our most recent club meeting



NOTICES:

All club meetings now start at 6:30 p.m.


Club Dues are $30 per family. Renewals are due April 1 annually.


The phone number for reporting trail issues is 715-637-6860.


The County's website (www.barroncountywi.gov) has a link to sign up for trail condition notifications.


Tracked UTVs are NOT permitted on snowmobile trails (except to perform trail maintenance by club members).

April 14th MEETING HIGHLIGHTS:

  • A Spring trail maint. work day is scheduled for Saturday, April 25th. Meet at the Clubhouse at 8 a.m. Work will include deck repairs to two bridges and signpost replacements on the WRT.
  • A motion was approved to purchase an adapter plate from Baribeau Implement for $500 that will allow use of our existing skidsteer attachments on our newly purchased tractor.
  • A motion was approved to pay $6000 toward our existing tractor repair bill at Baribeau Implement.
  • A motion was approved to renew our club's state raffle license.
  • A motion was approved to pay our club's annual WATVA membership dues ($80).
  • Brian R and Kent C. have completed the repairs to our Defender UTV.
  • Tim H reported that he moved our boom mower tractor from storage to the clubhouse and that it is need of a new battery.
  • Bruce T has agreed to let us store our winter grooming drag in one of his outbuildings.
  • President Pete volunteered to perform an oil change etc. on "Wilbur" (our maint. truck).
  • Ravek has again agreed to donate one $500 gift certificate to our club for the 2026 County SxS Raffle. A leaf blower has also now been donated by Tractor Central and Dana Heller (Trailhead Adventure) volunteered to donate a one-day UTV/Snowmobile rental. It was noted that "Wolf's Den" will again pay for the printing of the raffle tickets and will also host the raffle event in Oct. with food & refreshments and possibly live music.
  • Our first Thursday night Dinner Rides will be held on the Thursday April 16th. No "group ride" this time... attendees should just ride independently, arriving by 6 p.m. and seating will be random.
  • Jason Saffer's name was drawn for our "Attendance Raffle" but wasn't present to accept his prize.


Our next club meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse.
